TIP: Storing Your Avan

As much as we would love to be out and about in the Avan touring around, there are times that we need to store the Avan.  A quick tip is to make sure the refrigerator is left slightly ajar to minimise the amount of mould build up when not in use.  Just turn the clasp inward so there is room for air to circulate.  If your fridge also comes with a freezer take an icecube tray and place it against the freezer door allowing air to circulate.

Before storage wipe the refrigerator out with a dry cloth sprayed with some disinfectant.  This helps to reduce the amount of mould that can form in the fridge when not in use.

Avan Tip - Bedding

Take along two sets of sheets with you.  On your last morning change your sheets and bedding.  Next time you are ready to set off on the road your bed is already to go.  Your dirty sheets can be washed and put back in your van ready to change them over on your next trip.

When travelling it is always great if your bed is already made up if you pull up late at night.  A nice cuppa and a good rest prepares you for the next day.

Quick Avan Tip

Use a small tray or basket to keep your tea, coffee and sugar in.  It is easy to bring out the basket or tray then bending over and bringing out each individual item.  Baskets or tray's are available from $2 shops or Woolworths in packs of 2 for aournd $4.
